In his book, The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell describes three types of people who help new ideas and trends spread. I think there's some insight here into the diversity of gifts that help us share the gospel with others:
- Mavens: Are the people who know all sorts of random information and love helping people by sharing that information. Mavens give you access to knew ideas and resources to do your job well,
- Connectors: Seem to know everyone. They know people in lots of separate social groups and loving bringing people together,
- Salesmen: Are the charismatic, persuasive people. They motivate people to consider new things and help them spread quickly.
Who are the Mavens, Connectors and Salesmen in our midst? How can we encourage them at UTAS?
