Conference speaker

Rowan Kemp has been leading the AFES campus staff team at Sydney Uni since 2006. His ministry passions are preaching Christ from the whole Bible; global and cross-cultural mission; encouraging prayer for revival; and inventing strategies and structures to see God’s kingdom grow. As leader of the team, Rowan has responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day ministry, developing future strategies, raising the necessary financial support, and ensuring suitable ministry staff are recruited.

Prior to campus ministry, Rowan served as an assistant pastor in a suburban, evangelical, Anglican church in Sydney, where he oversaw youth ministry and cared for two congregations. Before Bible college, Rowan did a ministry apprenticeship, and he and his wife Jenny served with CMS as short-term workers for a year at a school for missionary kids in South Asia. Together they have raised five adult children.
